She was at a restaurant in Ventura and her purse was gone. Someone grabbed it off the back of her chair. Car keys, house keys, wallet, phone. She borrowed the hostess's phone and called the police first, then her husband, then me.

Her 2010 Ford Mustang was in the restaurant lot with zero keys. The dealer told her husband they could order a key but it would take 3 to 5 business days, the car would need to be towed in, and they recommended having the locks rekeyed since the stolen key could still open the car. Combined estimate was over $700.

I decoded the lock with my Lishi, cut the emergency blade, and had both fobs working before she finished the police report.

She drove home that night. Total was 185 for two new keys. The dealer estimated 395 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. The stolen key can still physically enter the lock but the immobilizer won't let the engine start. She had two fresh keys and the old one was dead to the car.
