Out near Marina Park in Ventura, a guy's 2013 Mustang was sitting in a lot with zero keys to its name. He had lost his only key somewhere on the beach. Spent an hour retracing his steps, checked with the lifeguard station, dug through his bag twice. Nothing.
By the time he called me, he had already looked up tow costs and dealer wait times. Ford quoted him several days out and wanted the car brought in, plus the key work on top of that. He sounded defeated.
I got there that afternoon. Started with my Lishi HU101 to pick the door lock and decode every wafer position at the same time. That tool reads the lock while it opens it, so I had the full bitting before I even sat in the driver seat. Cut a fresh H75 blade on my mobile machine right there in the lot.
Then the PATS side. Connected through OBD-II to the PCM (module 7E0 on these), ran the 80-bit all-keys-lost procedure, which wipes any previously learned transponder IDs and writes the new TMS37145 chip as the primary key. His remote head key, part number 164-R7040 with FCC ID OUC6000022, fired the engine on the first turn. I programmed a second key while I was in the system because adding a spare during the same session is the cheapest it will ever be.
He drove out of that same lot with two working keys and no tow bill. Whole thing ran about 45 minutes.
