A customer in Thousand Oaks had just bought a used 2003 Ford Ranger from a small lot. Nice truck, good price, one key. The lot told him to get a spare on his own. He figured it would be quick and cheap.

I met him at the used lot before he even drove the car home. His key has an FCC ID of OUCD6000022, which tells me the exact remote frequency and button configuration. I matched it, cut the HU101 blade on my machine, and used my VVDI2 to clone the transponder chip. I walked him through the difference between add-a-key and all-keys-lost so he'd understand why having a spare saves him serious money down the road.
His spare works identical to the original. Lock, unlock, start, all 3 buttons. He paid 95 instead of 200 and drove home with two working keys.
