A guy near Centerpoint Mall in Oxnard called me about his 2010 Ranger. It was parked on the second level of an underground garage at his condo complex, low ceiling, tight turns, the kind of space a flatbed will never fit into. He had already called the dealer. His original OUCD6000022 fob was physically broken, the housing cracked and the transponder board barely making contact. I pulled the PATS data using my programmer, cloned it onto a fresh 4D63 80-bit chip, and cut a new HU101 blade to match his existing lock. Built the whole remote head key right there between two concrete pillars in a parking garage that smelled like old coolant.
The 10-minute PATS security countdown ran while I tested his remote functions, lock, unlock, trunk. When the timer cleared, the key registered on the first attempt.
He sat in the cab, turned it over, and just kind of nodded. Didn't say much. Drove up the ramp and out into daylight for the first time in three days. His truck never had to leave that spot. I walked in with a bag and walked out 40 minutes later.
