Older Ford trucks with the H-key edge-cut ignition are some of the fastest key jobs I do. The lock is simple to decode, the key blank is simple to cut, and the PATS programming on these is the quickest generation Ford made. A spare when you already have one working can be done in 15 to 20 minutes.

A customer on a road trip stopped at a gas station near Ojai Arcade and his key snapped in the ignition of his 2004 Ford Taurus. Half the blade was stuck in the cylinder and the other half was in his hand. He couldn't turn the car off cleanly and was afraid to force it. I could hear the panic in his voice when he called.

I got there and used my H75 Lishi to extract the broken piece without damaging the ignition wafers. Once it was out clean, I decoded the lock and cut a fresh key.
