She was at the rental car return lot in Ramona early in the morning, about to switch from a rental back to her own 2006 Audi A8, and her only Audi key was not in her bag. She returned the rental, started her own car, and drove to the airport with time to spare. Total was $271. The dealer wanted $502 and a next-week appointment. She would have missed her flight, paid rental extension fees, and still been without a key.
