I cut the emergency blade on each one, tested every button, walked the door handles, confirmed the push-to-start was reading both fobs correctly.
She was driving home with her baby before the police had finished their paperwork. The stolen key does nothing now. The dealer's timeline was days. Mine was a few hours. She saved a significant amount over what the dealer had estimated, and she didn't have to arrange a tow.
