I got a call from a woman in De Luz, out past the ranch roads where cell signal gets patchy. She was at her sister's birthday gathering and her 2005 Tucson remote had just stopped responding. We still went through the re-sync process to make sure the rolling code was aligned with the receiver, because a fob that has been clicking with no response for a while can drift out of sync. That took about a minute standing next to the car. After that, full range, all three buttons working.
She asked me what I charged for that. I told her. She said the dealer had quoted her a new fob plus programming. The look on her face said everything.
