If that works, replace the CR2032 and you are probably done. If the car still will not recognize the fob after a fresh battery, check that the new cell is seated flat and making full contact. A slightly cocked battery can mimic a dead one.

If none of that helps, the issue may be on the vehicle side rather than the fob. The immobilizer antenna or a module may need diagnosis. That is a job for someone with the right tools, done on site, without a tow.

I bought a replacement fob online. Can I program it myself or do I need someone to do it?

You need someone with diagnostic equipment to pair it. The 2014 Tucson smart key system does not have an onboard self-programming sequence the way some older bladed-key Hyundais do. There is no ignition-turn sequence or button combination that registers a new smart fob. The pairing has to go through the OBD port with a compatible programmer. If you already bought the fob, hang onto it. As long as it is the correct fob for this vehicle, we can pair it on site and you will have saved yourself the cost of the part. Just do not let anyone tell you to try a DIY sequence on this system because there is nothing to try.

A single handle failing on its own usually points to that door's touch sensor or the wiring behind it, not the key system. Wipe the handle sensor area down and retest. Dirt and moisture can interfere with the capacitive sensors these handles use. If it stays isolated to one door after cleaning, that is a door-side diagnosis, not a key replacement job.
