I got a call out to Winter Gardens, over in Lakeside, from someone who had already spent two days going back and forth with the dealer.
She had one working fob left for her 2014 MINI Hardtop 2 Door. The other one had stopped being recognized by the car a few weeks back, and she finally called the dealer about it. The second one needed full registration through the diagnostic port. I connected up, verified the immobilizer would accept a new key, ran the pairing sequence, and then tested every button and both door handles before I called it done.
She had two working fobs by the time I packed up. The whole job took under an hour. The dealer conversation became an afterthought pretty fast.
