I got a call from a tire shop near The Bridges in Rancho Santa Fe. Not from the customer, from the shop manager. That detail alone told me something had already gone sideways.

There is a timed sequence built into the registration procedure on these, and rushing it is exactly what creates the fault state in the first place.
About ninety minutes later, his fob worked. Doors, start button, all of it. I ran every function before I handed it back.
