2020 Volvo S60 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

She had just finished at the allergist and was walking to the car with her daughter when her 2020 Volvo S60 wouldn't respond. Fob dead, push-to-start unresponsive. It was 5:30pm at the allergist's office in Escondido and the medical building was closing for the evening.

The Volvo dealer was already done for the day. She called me.

I got the door open and connected my IM608 to the OBD port. Her Smart Key, FCC ID YGOHUF8423, was a 4-button smart key. The CR2032 battery had corroded a contact inside the fob and the chip wasn't transmitting at all. I replaced the fob, programmed the new one, and tested every function.

From her call to engine running was 48 minutes at $319. The dealer was closed and would have been $584 plus a wait until morning. She got home before dinner with her daughter instead of leaving the Volvo overnight in a closed medical lot.
