Then the immobilizer side. Connected my diagnostic tool through the OBD port under the dash, pulled security access on the instrument cluster, which on these is the Immo2 module itself, and cloned a new ID48 chip matched to her car. On the Immo2 system, cloning is the cleanest path because you are duplicating the crypto value from a working key rather than fighting the cluster for a PIN extraction.
Tested the new key three times. Cold start, restart, restart. Turned smooth every time. She held both keys up side by side like she was comparing them for weight.
Whole thing took about 25 minutes in her driveway. No tow, no appointment window, no waiting room.
