I was working the Upper East side of Santa Barbara on a Tuesday when a call came in from a woman who had been staying near Micheltorena Street for a few weeks.

Her 2009 Rabbit key had stopped unlocking the doors remotely, and then that morning the blade snapped at the pivot point inside the flip housing. Not bent, actually snapped. She had the two pieces in her hand when I pulled up.
