I started with my HON66 Lishi to pick his door open and decode every wafer position. Then I cut a fresh blade to match. From there I connected through OBD and ran the all-keys-lost procedure, which clears any previous keys from the car's memory and registers the new one as primary. His Key, FCC ID CWT72147KA, started the car on the first try. I cut him a spare too so he wouldn't be in this situation again.
The whole job took about 45 minutes and came out to around $93. Dealer would have been roughly $203 plus a tow and a Monday appointment. He drove home from that same trailhead with two working keys.
