My van carries everything I need to replace a 1996 Audi A6 key without a shop. An architect in a high-rise parking garage in Chula Vista called me because a tow truck could not navigate the tight turns and low clearance on the lower levels. Her fob, FCC ID , was a 3-button smart key with comfort access that I built and tested right there in the garage.
Her car never moved. Total was $95 compared to $200 at the dealer, and that dealer price assumed the car could even get to them.
