2016 Audi A6 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call late on a weeknight from a parking structure near the hospital in the Casa de Oro area of Spring Valley. The woman on the phone was a hospitalist finishing an overnight shift, standing next to her 2016 Audi A6 in a mostly empty garage. She wanted a spare key made and had done her homework before dialing.

Before she said anything about the car, she asked me to confirm my BSIS license number. She works alone in that garage late at night and was not about to wave over a stranger with tools she could not verify. I read it to her. She pulled up the BSIS lookup on her phone right there, confirmed it, and then said okay.

She had one working key. She wanted a second so that if she ever lost it after a shift like this one, she would not be back in the same position. The 2016 A6 smart key system requires the new fob to be enrolled through a proper diagnostic connection. I pulled up to the structure, set up at the vehicle, connected to the diagnostic port, and ran the key addition sequence. The new fob got registered, the original key stayed active, and I walked every button and the door handles to confirm everything responded before I packed up.

The dealer had given her a rough quote over the phone when she called them earlier that week. My price was a fraction of what they wanted, and she did not have to tow the car or schedule an appointment days out. She mentioned the Google Guaranteed badge on my listing was the second thing she checked after the license. That combination, verified license, confirmed insurance, and the Google backing, was what made her comfortable enough to call a mobile tech at that hour. I get that. It matters.
