Start there. Pop the fob, replace the CR2032, and test from a normal distance. If range comes back, you are done. If range is still short after a fresh battery, the issue moves to the fob's internal antenna or circuit board, and at that point you are looking at a replacement fob rather than a repair.

I lost both keys to my 2016 Journey. Can you still make a replacement, or does it have to go to the dealer?
