A college student home for break was staying at an apartment in Solana Beach with visitor parking. Her 2010 GMC Canyon needed a key replacement and she'd already had a bad experience. The previous locksmith had tried to force a programming method that didn't match her model year, which is how the BCM got confused. Her car started clean. Total was $116. The dealer wanted $283 to fix what the other locksmith broke. I didn't charge extra for the cleanup because cleaning up the mess is part of doing the job right.
