A guy in Berry Park called me on a Tuesday morning. He had a 2016 Honda CR-Z and his fob had quit working overnight. No warning, no gradual fade. He walked out, grabbed the door handle, nothing. Pushed the start button with the fob, nothing. A key-not-detected warning on the dash.

Cut the emergency insert blade to his vehicle, ran the programming sequence through the OBD port with the Autel, registered the new fob, verified the immobilizer accepted it, and walked every button and the door handle entry before I called it done.
He mentioned the dealer had quoted him a multi-day wait just to get the part. He was back driving before noon that same day. The dealer quote came up once, at the end, and he just shook his head.
