2001 Honda S2000 Metal Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy in Bressi Ranch called me about his 2001 S2000. He had lost his only key and needed to get back into the car and get it running. No spare, no valet key, nothing.
The S2000 is a roadster. Low to the ground, tight door, and the lock cylinder is right there in the door skin. I was able to decode the lock on site, pull the key code, and cut him a working key from that. No towing, no dealership appointment, no waiting a week for a part to come in.
He mentioned he had called the dealer before reaching me. They told him he would need to tow the car in, verify ownership, and wait for a new key to be ordered. The whole process was going to take days and cost him considerably more.
I was in his driveway in Bressi Ranch, had the key cut and the car open in under an hour. He drove it away that afternoon.
The S2000 is a simple key system by design, which actually works in the owner's favor when they lose one. No programming appointment, no dealer-only equipment. Just a properly cut key matched to the car, done on site.
