A few things can cause that: a damaged chip inside the key head, a worn key that is not seating fully in the cylinder, a weak vehicle battery affecting the antenna ring, or a chip that has lost its programming. Try your spare key if you have one. If the spare works and the primary does not, the primary key head or chip is the problem. If neither key works, that is a different situation and we handle it on site.

The S2000 was only sold for a limited run. Is it getting harder to find replacement keys for it?
