I used my HY22 Lishi to extract the broken piece without damaging the wafers. Once extracted, I decoded the lock and cut a fresh blade from the readings. His car uses a separate remote fob, FCC ID , so the fob was fine. I just needed to cut and program a new ID46 transponder blade through OBD.
He was back on the road in under an hour. Total was $95. Dealer would have charged $200 plus a tow and a multi-day wait.
