He landed on a Tuesday morning after a week overseas. Level 3 of the parking garage, rolling carry-on, ready to be done with airports. He hit the fob button and nothing happened.

Swapped the battery, verified remote lock, unlock, and trunk release were all responding cleanly, then confirmed the blade turned in the ignition without a security light staying on. Done.
He drove home that morning. Two days faster than the dealer, no tow, and he saved a good chunk compared to what that whole other path would have cost him.
