2014 Kia Sportage Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A graphic designer near Santee Lakes called me on a Tuesday morning. He was parked on a steep, narrow residential street off the main road, the kind where a tow truck driver takes one look and says no. His Sportage wasn't going anywhere, and the dealer had already told him the car needed to come in first before they could even schedule the key work.
He called me because he had no other move.
I parked at the bottom of the hill and walked up with my bag. The street was tight enough that two people passing each other on foot had to turn sideways. His Sportage sat at an angle against the curb, pointing uphill, not a problem for me but definitely a problem for a flatbed.
I pulled the PIN through the security portal, connected my diagnostic tool to the OBD port, and enrolled a fresh fob to his immobilizer right there on the street. Cut the emergency blade to match his locks. Tested every button, tested the door handles, tested the start. The car never moved an inch during the whole job.
He mentioned the dealer quote on his way back inside. I kept it brief. He saved a solid chunk, and the car stayed right where it was.
