I got a call one Sunday morning from a guy parked at a diner off the main drag in Ramona, not far from Ramona Highlands. Off-duty paramedic. His 2022 CX-9 would crank, catch, and then die in about two seconds flat. He'd already had a locksmith out the day before. Paid full price. Walked away with nothing that worked.

The dealer quote he'd gotten before calling anyone was well over what I charged. He'd already paid the first locksmith on top of that. I can't undo what he already spent, but at least he drove home.
