A guy in Bressi Ranch called me on a Tuesday afternoon. He was in the parking lot of one of the office complexes off Palomar Airport Road, forty minutes from his next meeting, and his only key had stopped unlocking the doors remotely. Swapped in the correct CR1620, seated it clean, and the buttons came back immediately. Lock, unlock, all of it.
He laughed. Told me the dealer had quoted him a full key replacement appointment, scheduled three days out, tow included if needed.
The whole thing took maybe twelve minutes in his parking lot. That is the job sometimes. Not every call is a full programming session. Sometimes it is just knowing which battery goes in which key.
