2010 Toyota Venza
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2010 Toyota Venza Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A guy came up to me in Downtown Escondido and the first thing he said was, "I already watched your video." That happens more than people might expect. He had found me on YouTube, watched a Toyota key job start to finish, and saved my number before he ever had a problem. When his 2010 Venza remote head key finally started acting up, he knew exactly who to call.

His complaint was inconsistent range. Sometimes the lock button worked from across the parking lot. Sometimes he had to be right next to the car. The blade was fine, the key turned normally, the car started without a fight. Just the remote side going flaky.

I popped the housing open on the hood of my van. The CR2016 inside looked like the original. No corrosion, but the voltage was reading low. Swapped it, seated it correctly, snapped the shell back together.

Then I walked the buttons. Lock from the street. Unlock. Each one of the four buttons, distance increasing each pass. Consistent every time.

He did not need a new key. He needed the right battery seated the right way, checked by someone who knows what low voltage looks like on these remotes before assuming the fob itself is bad.

That is the job sometimes. Not every call turns into a full replacement. He knew that going in because he had watched the video. No surprises, no upsell, no trip to the dealer.
