1998 Acura TL Metal Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

An elderly man with a cane at a senior living community near Hollister Village Plaza called about his 1998 Acura TL. He didn't drive much anymore but he needed the car for medical appointments. His only key remote had stopped working and the blade was getting hard to turn in the ignition. Getting to a dealer across town wasn't just an inconvenience for him, it was a real problem. His daughter usually helped but she was traveling that week.

I went to his building that morning. His TL used an older remote-head setup with the HON66 keyway. I used my HON66 Lishi to decode the lock and verify the mechanical side, then cut a fresh blade and programmed the transponder through OBD. His remote fob, FCC ID , was a -button unit that I paired at the same time. I showed him how to check the battery in the remote so he'd know before it died on him again.

He didn't have to leave his building, call his daughter, or figure out transportation to a dealer 12 miles away. His total was 95 for two keys. Dealer quoted 200 for one, plus the problem of actually getting there. For a TL key, you call me and I show up where the car is.
