I got a call from Casa Conejo on a Saturday evening. A guy visiting Thousand Oaks for a wedding had zero keys for his 2012 Acura TL. He did the thing people always do: pressed the start button before I even finished testing the door handles. It fired right up.
I walked every button, both door handles, and confirmed the mechanical insert key worked the door cylinder before I closed out. He was back on a timeline that got him to his flight. The dealer would have had him waiting until Monday, then probably another day for parts. It wasn't dealer-only. It was tool-dependent, and I had the tools in the van.
