A customer at the Elks lodge in Ventura told me he'd already paid another locksmith for a 2009 Cadillac CTS key that never started the car. The engine cranked but the immobilizer killed fuel after two seconds every time. The other locksmith said the body control module was bad and left.

He paid me 306. Dealer charges 563 for the same work. He'd already paid the first locksmith too, which I couldn't help with. But I could make sure the job was actually done right.
