A barista living in an apartment near Topa Topa Brewing Company in Oxnard called the dealer first. They told her it would be around two hundred and change, plus she'd need to tow the car in. The whole thing, key blank, cut, chip, and programming, took under forty minutes at her parking spot.
When I handed her the finished key she just turned it over in her hand a couple times, like she was waiting for a catch. There wasn't one. She went back inside and I packed up.
