2016 Volkswagen EOS
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2016 Volkswagen EOS Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from a woman in Casa Conejo, out in Thousand Oaks, around 9:45 at night. She was in a parking lot, retail shift just ended, and her EOS key was gone. Not at home, not in the store. Gone. She had no spare, no registration in hand, and was already Googling tow trucks.

I slowed her down. Told her to look through the driver's side of the windshield at the base of the glass. She found the VIN in about thirty seconds. Then I had her pull up her insurance app, which had everything else I needed for ownership verification.

With the VIN confirmed, I knew exactly what I was driving out there with. I pulled the right key blank and had my equipment loaded before I left. By the time I reached her in the parking lot, she had calmed down enough to laugh about the whole thing.

I built the flip key on site, cut the blade to her car, programmed the transponder to the immobilizer, and synced the remote functions. She tested the lock, the unlock, the blade release, and then turned the ignition twice just to be sure. It started both times, clean.

She mentioned the dealer as she was leaving. I told her they would have needed the car towed in, a day or two minimum, and it would have cost her a good chunk more than what she paid me. She nodded and drove home. The VIN is always the starting point. If you have that, I can have everything ready before I even arrive.
