Do you need to tow your 2011 Infiniti M37 to the dealer? Almost certainly not. For most Infiniti models from the mid-2000s through the early 2020s, I handle all-keys-lost right at the car.
A retired surgeon at the gated retirement community in La Mesa had his only fob stop working one morning. His M37 was in the covered parking with push-to-start and no key the car would recognize. He assumed towing was the only option and had already started calling flatbed companies. I told him to stay put.
I connected my Smart Pro to OBD and ran the Infiniti smart key all-keys-lost procedure. His Smart Key, FCC ID CWTWB1U787, was a 4-button proximity fob with an emergency blade inside. I had it programmed in his covered parking before 10am. He seemed pretty surprised it could all be done right there.
Total was about $289. Dealer would have been $539 plus the tow. Honest disclosure: a small number of very new Infiniti platforms may require dealer-level programming when aftermarket tools haven't caught up yet. But for the vast majority on the road, I do AKL on-site regularly. If yours is an exception, I'll tell you upfront instead of wasting your time.
