2013 Infiniti M37 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
De Luz is the kind of area where a tow truck call gets expensive fast. The roads wind, the properties are spread out, and if your car is sitting somewhere remote, the meter is running before anyone even looks at the problem.
I got a call from a guy who kept a sailboat and split his time between the water and a property out in De Luz. He'd lost his only fob somewhere between the dock and his gravel lot one morning, retraced the whole route, checked the boat, checked his jacket pockets, came up with nothing. His 2013 Infiniti M37 was sitting right there, locked, and he had no way in. He'd already called the Infiniti dealer and heard what they needed: tow the car in, wait for a VIN-verified order, come back on a weekday. He was not happy.
I told him I could be there that afternoon.
When I got there, I used a pick tool to work the door lock and read the wafer positions inside the cylinder. Cut a blade to match on site. Then I connected through the OBD port and ran the all-keys-lost sequence for the M37 platform -- the process that wipes any previously registered fobs and enrolls a new one as the primary key. The fob paired and the car started on the first try.
He asked if I could cut a second one right there. I did.
The dealer quote was still sitting in his phone. What he paid me was a good chunk less, and he didn't move the car once.
