His Outlander uses a plain transponder blade, FCC ID OUCG8D-525M-A, with the standard MIT3 keyway. I cut the blade on my machine and synced it through OBD.
He drove off with two working keys for less than the dealer wanted for one. That spare also means his next replacement is a simple add-a-key instead of all-keys-lost, which on a Mitsubishi can mean PIN extraction and bench work on the ETACS module.
