Almost certainly not. If the start button is recognizing the fob normally, the key is doing its job.

Touch-unlock on the door handle uses a capacitive sensor in the handle itself, and those sensors can fail or get flaky from water intrusion, dirt buildup around the handle recess, or a wiring issue specific to that door. If it's only happening on one door and everything else works, you're looking at a handle-side problem, not a key problem. Wipe the handle area down and test again. If it stays dead on one door while the other handle works fine, that points to the handle sensor or that door's circuit, not the fob or the vehicle security system.
