She was at a rental return lot along the Calle Real corridor in Goleta, early morning, about to switch back to her own 2008 Audi R8 before catching a flight home. Her only Audi key was not in her bag. She had left it at the hotel she checked out of an hour earlier. The front desk searched the room. Nothing turned up.

I got there in about 35 minutes. Her R8 runs the IMMO3 system with a Megamos Crypto 48 chip and an HU66 blade. I connected my Smart Pro to the OBD port, pulled the immobilizer PIN from the ECU, and started building a new key. The guided procedure walks through the IMMO3 security sequence, chip registration, remote pairing, the whole thing in order.
Cut the HU66 blade on my Condor, seated a fresh TP25 chip, programmed the 3-button remote on FCC ID IYZ3314 at 315 MHz. Then tested everything at the car. Lock, unlock, trunk release, engine start.
She returned the rental, walked to her R8, started it, and left for the airport with time to spare. The dealer would have meant a missed flight, rental extension fees, and still no key for a week. She got the whole thing handled on-site for a fraction of what they wanted.
