1999 BMW 5 Series Remote head key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A customer at the VFW near Old Town Camarillo told me he'd already paid another locksmith for a 1999 BMW 5 Series key that never started the car. The engine cranked but the immobilizer killed it immediately. The other locksmith blamed the CAS module and walked away.

The CAS was fine. The locksmith had skipped the ISN read from the DME. BMW requires the key, the CAS, and the DME to all share the same internal security number. Without that three-way match, the engine computer won't release fuel. It's not optional.

I used my HU92 Lishi to verify the blade cut, then connected through OBD. I read the CAS3 data, pulled the ISN, and reprogrammed the key with the complete security sync. His fob, FCC ID LX8FZV, was a 3-button slot key. Engine start was clean on three consecutive tests. I showed him the IM608 screen confirming the ISN match between the CAS, DME, and key so he could see for himself that the three-way sync was complete.

He paid me 185. Dealer charges 395 for the same work. He'd already paid the first locksmith too, which was money gone. But I could make sure the job was done right this time.
