I got a call from a guy in Victoria Estates, over in Oxnard, who had snapped his key in the ignition cylinder. Not bent, not worn. Snapped clean, with the tip still seated inside the barrel.

Once the barrel was clear, I decoded the existing cuts from the cylinder profile rather than fishing for a key code, cut a fresh blade to match on site, and tested it through several full lock and unlock cycles before calling it done.
