I started with my HU92 Lishi to pick his door open and decode every wafer position for the blade cut. For AKL on BMW, I also need to access the CAS module. I read the CAS3 data through OBD, extracted the ISN from the DME, calculated a new key slot, and programmed the fob. His smart key, FCC ID , was a -button slot fob that started the car on the first try.
His car started in the same beach cliff lot. Total was around 95. Dealer would have been roughly 200 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. The whole process from lock decode to engine running took about an hour. BMW all-keys-lost takes longer than a simple spare because of the CAS module read and ISN sync, but with the right tools it's still a mobile job on most CAS-era models.
