Out in the Presidio neighborhood, a catering company owner called me after a long private event. He was packing down, his crew was loading the van, and his 2022 Genesis GV80 fob was gone. I had the right tools in the van. I backed up the immobilizer data first, ran the all-keys-lost sequence, cut and enrolled a new 7-button proximity fob, and walked every function before I called it done.
His GV80 started in the venue lot. His crew was still loading. He'd been told twice that night it couldn't be done outside a dealership.
