He landed after a red-eye, walked to the airport economy lot, and his 2017 Honda Accord wouldn't respond to the key fob. The CR2032 battery in the remote was dead. The issue was just the dead fob battery causing no remote response and no push-to-start wake. His smart key with FCC ID ACJ932HK1310A was back working after a CR2032 swap and a quick reprogram to clear the fault code. He seemed pretty relieved when I told him the fix was that simple.
He drove home that same morning. Total was about 244. The dealer would have been 438 plus $175 in towing and a Thursday appointment. He skipped all of that and was home before lunch.
