An ER doctor called me from the fourth floor of a hospital parking structure in Thousand Oaks, out near Casa Conejo neighborhood. Used my Autel IM608 to read the immobilizer data off the 9th-gen Accord's system through the OBD-II port, loaded the HITAG 3 / 47 chip profile onto a new proximity fob, and cut the emergency insert blade to match his door lock using the code I pulled on-site. Four buttons, tested every one: lock, unlock, trunk, panic. Walked each door handle for proximity unlock. Hit the push-button start twice, cold start and restart.
His car never moved. Forty minutes from my bag hitting the ground to him holding a working key. He drove home to sleep, and the dealer slot he had booked just freed up for someone else.
