A single dad over in the Rio Lindo neighborhood in Oxnard had just picked up a used 2000 Honda Accord from one of those buy-here-pay-here lots. Decent car, fair price, but it came with one key. The lot told him to handle the spare on his own.

I met him at the lot before he even drove the car home. His key is a standard Honda transponder, part number HD106-PT, with the T5 chip inside. I cut the high-security blade on my Condor machine, then used my VVDI2 to clone the original transponder so the immobilizer accepted it without needing a full system reprogram. Cloning on these first-gen Honda immobilizer setups is clean because the T5 chip allows direct copy.
Tested it three times. Ignition on, engine fires, no green key light blinking. Lock, unlock, trunk. All working.
He drove home with two keys in his pocket. I mentioned that having a spare changes the math later. If he ever loses one, the next replacement is a simple add-a-key job instead of an all-keys-lost scenario, which takes longer and costs more on any Honda with an immobilizer.
