Stuck ignitions on older Hyundai models are a regular call, and dealers always push a full cylinder replacement. The TOY40-style ignition on Accent, Elantra, Sonata, Tucson, and Santa Fe from the mid-2000s through about 2010 wears down after years of daily use. The wafers loosen, the worn key catches, and the owner starts forcing it every morning until it either jams solid or the blade snaps.

Then I decoded the lock, swapped the worn wafers, and cut a fresh key matched to the repaired cylinder. His key, FCC ID , synced back up through a quick OBD procedure. I showed him the old wafers so he could see why it had been sticking.
Total was 95. The ignition turns smooth now and the key slides in without resistance. He didn't replace a single part that wasn't actually broken.
