Guy got off work, walked out to the park and ride near River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard, and his 2020 Hyundai Accent was dead to the world. Pressed the fob, nothing. Held it flat against the start button for the backup proximity read, still nothing. The dash just sat dark.

I got to the lot in about 35 minutes. Opened the door, connected my Autel IM608 to the OBD-II port, and pulled up the smart key module. Both of his fobs were still registered, the HITAG3 pairing was intact, but the dead CR2032 had caused a communication fault code that the backup start procedure could not clear on its own. The system needed the code wiped through diagnostics before it would handshake with the fob again.
Swapped the battery, cleared the fault, tested all four buttons plus passive entry on both front handles and the trunk. Gave him a spare CR2032 for the glovebox.
He drove home that same evening. His Accent never left the parking space he pulled into that morning, and he saved a good chunk over what the dealer plus tow truck would have run him.
