A woman flagged me down by phone from the parking lot near Ross, right along the Main Street corridor in Ventura. Her 2019 Hyundai Accent wouldn't respond to either of her smart keys. The car runs Hyundai's 128-bit AES security, same Hitag3 chip across the HC-generation Accent line. I used my diagnostic tool to pull the PIN code from the ICM (Integrated Central Module, part number 95400-J0200 on these), then generated a fresh transponder profile on a new NYOSYEC4FOB1608 blank.
Programmed it. Cut the emergency insert blade. Then the part that actually matters: testing every function. Lock, unlock, trunk release, remote start, push-button start, walk-away lock. I cycled the doors and checked that the old fobs were erased so nobody with a lost key could walk up and drive off.
She stood there watching the whole time, eating a granola bar. When the engine turned over on the new fob she just nodded and said "OK then."
The whole visit was under 40 minutes. Her car never left that parking spot.
