Getting a second key made while you still have one working fob is the smarter call, and it is noticeably less involved. A lot of F-Type owners in the South Surfside area have one fob rattling around from the original sale and have never gotten around to a spare. That one fob takes a drop in a parking lot or goes through a wash and suddenly it is an all-keys-lost situation.
