Out in Saticoy, I got a call from a physical therapist who works home visits and drives all day. Her 2025 Solterra was her whole operation, and the key fob shell had cracked through at the top loop where she'd been hooking it to a carabiner. Range was solid from across the driveway. Then I verified the physical blade and matched the cut profile so it would work the emergency override cylinder.
She watched the whole thing from the front steps with her coffee. When I handed it back and it unlocked the car on the first press, she said the dealer never even opened the fob to look.
